Integration with SAP Business One (TR)

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are working with Trekker Distribution and implementing SAP Business One ERP. We would need to integrate Avontus and SAP B1.
I have read previous threads of this nature and understand that you offer sample code, resources about your API and assist with specific questions.
Is it possible to schedule a meeting with our SAP, Trekker and Quantify developer?

Regards,
Marli Schutte

Hello Marli. We recommend that all developers take the full training that is offered during implementation. The API matches the UI in pretty much all respects. There are articles in this forum on how to get your development environment set up and run a bit of sample code to test things out.

Once your developers attend training we can use the site here to give you code snippets if you need. We’ve found most devs get it pretty fast.

Regards,
Avontus Dev

Thank you for the explanation.
What would the effort timewise be to attend/view the training material for your API? Is there any cost involved to view this material?

Thanks,
Marli

Hello Marli. You really should attend all of the training that is provided with your implementation. In fact we really consider it mandatory for all developers. It is live and should be recorded. Once you see how the software works you will understand the API. All of the nouns (shipment, invoice, etc.) and verbs (create shipment, create invoice, etc.) exactly match the API.

After you’ve attended training you can make sure your regular Quantify is set up like a regular end-user would have set up. Then you can view the setup documents here to see how to get started with the API, then ask us for code snippets for what you’re trying to do.

Sincerely,
Avontus Dev

Dear Sir/Madam,

Can you give me an estimate on how many hours the training is?

Thanks,
Marli

You will need to check with the people in your company that are implementing the software. Training is custom tailored to each company.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Do I understand correctly that you have external companies implementing your software and doing the training?

Thanks,
Marli

Hi Marli. We do not work with external companies and perform implementations and training in-house. The company you are writing code for should be able to guide you and coordinate with us.

Dear Sir/Madam,

In my search through the threads, one mentioned a training schedule. But the link was not active.
Do you still have training scheduled that anyone can join? Or can we schedule it with you?

Thanks,
Marli

Hello Marli. You should contact the company that you are working with. If they are undergoing an implementation you should be able to join in on their training. Oftentimes the training is recorded, so if they have already gone through training they can provide the recorded training for you.
